About us

# Licensed Texas locators who go to bat for second chance renters.

Our team has over 30 years of combined real estate experience. We use it to find the apartments that say yes when normal screening says no, and it costs you nothing.

## Why we started

The usual apartment search is rough on second chance renters. Automatic denials. Lost application fees. Leasing agents who give vague answers about what they check. Scammers who go after renters in a hurry.

We built Bad Credit Apartments to be the opposite: a licensed, accountable team that knows who actually approves what. We take the time to look at your situation honestly and find the right doors.

## How we do things differently

### TREC licensed

We're [licensed Texas real estate agents](https://www.trec.texas.gov/license-search) brokered by Spirit Real Estate Group, not unlicensed "locators." You get accountability and a licensed broker behind every deal.

### A database for every community

We track real approval cutoffs for properties across our five metros. That covers credit, evictions, how far back they check criminal records, and what income proof they take.

### We check your fit before you pay

Your application fees (about $50 to $85 each) only go to communities where approval is realistic. No more money lost on automatic denials.

### Zero judgment

Eviction, broken lease, felony, no credit, cash income: we've seen it before, and we don't lecture. We follow fair housing law, so we suggest communities based on your budget, timing, and rental history, never on who you are.
